For a long moment, Pearl doesn't move at all, and the silent that hangs between them is palpable and inexplicably warm.
Until it's cut short by a loud, extended rumble coming from her stomach. Pearl flinches, freezes in place, and then sinks pitifully back into the sofa with a blush that reaches down all the way to her collarbone.
