Pearl is as tidy in eating as she is in anything, so there's really no need for it -- but she tilts her head up to accommodate the touch of Garnet's hand all the same.

There's another couple seconds of chewing before she can answer, and her pale throat rises and falls as she swallows. As soon as she has, the same wide smile returns to Pearl's lips.

"Did you ask for extra beansprouts?" The corners of her eyes crinkle, and she leans in to kiss her. "I love you."
