Pearl's hesitation makes Garnet's fingers feel cold for just a moment. If Pearl says anything Garnet will feel too strange to continue this way. But Pearl eventually simply opens her mouth and she breathes out her own quiet sigh of relief.

"Thank you." She feeds her the first bite, cupping her free hand beneath Pearl's chin to catch anything that might fall. She knows it's Pearl's favorite dish from her favorite place, but she still asks, "How is it?"
