Garnet quickly puts her hand on Pearl's back to keep her from falling over. She was ready for this reaction after all; Pearl loses herself so easily in her studies. She was expecting the state of her also, but it doesn't make it any less disconcerting.

"Pearl, it's been five days." She brings up a hand and brushes it through Pearl's hair carefully, tucking it down however she can. "When's the last time you took a break?"
